Environmental Assessment Drilling
Environmental Assessment Drilling was formed to provide Engineers in our area a smaller more versatile rig designed specifically for investigating contamination in overburden and that would be capable of working in areas with low overhead clearance. This unit uses 4 ¼ inch I.D. hollow stem augers (for 2 " monitoring well installation). This smaller size rig with its reduced cost would also have a smaller charge out rate. We added shear vane testing and dynamic cone penetration as an additional service. The demand for internal drilling for investigation beneath floor slabs compelled us to add a core drill and a split spoon hammer system using an electric jackhammer. As the needs of our engineering clients change, we will change our systems to accommodate them.

- Installation of 2" inspection wells for groundwater monitoring
- Drilling to check for contamination around in-ground petroleum tanks
- Coring interior concrete floors and split spoon sampling beneath
- Drilling for Geotechnical investigations of soil overburden
- Installation of Pump & Treat systems for cleaning groundwater
- Construction & maintenance of Bio-piles for soil treatment

- mounted on rubber tire low overhead unit for working underneath wires
- drills to depth of 50 feet with 4 1/2" I.D. hollow core augers
- split spoon sampling tubes with 2ft x 2" samples
- 140 lb. safety hammer driven off cathead for penetration testing
- all hydraulic for quiet operation and additional safety
- Fully stocked service unit
- arrives on site with sufficient materials for one day's installation
- high pressure system for on-site cleaning of augers and spoons between holes
